How to choose data center technician training

Data center training comes in three kinds. Company academies and pre-apprenticeships (Meta, AWS) are short, often paid, and tied to real jobs, but they run in a few places on fixed dates. Community college certificates take longer and build data center certifications like CompTIA A+, Server+ and Network+, often at low cost. Apprenticeships pay you from the start and lead to the highest-paid trades, but take years.

If you need income now, start with paid training. If you want IT work, look for programs that include CompTIA A+. If you'd rather build, look at trades academies and electrical apprenticeships. Not sure? The path finder ranks these for your state in two minutes.

Standard listings are free. If a program ever pays to be featured, its card will be labeled "Sponsored".
